Well today is the 100th anniversary of the 59th St. bridge, or better known as the Queensboro Bridge. The bridge is located at 59th and 1st ave, right by the water. i took the day off work today, and decided to go down and take a few pictures of this Iron Monster, it's one of the most beautiful bridges in Manhattan. The bridge also has a sky tram that runs passengers to Roosevelt Island. If you ever have a free moment you should definitely check it out! For more on the bridge you can click on the title of this post, or there is a podcast by The Bowery Boys. Happy reading and here's to 100 years of the 59th St. Bridge!!!

wow! these pictures are really great!
Fantastic photos!!
We used the cable car to cross the river on to Roosevelt Island earlier this year - it was nearly 80 degrees C. Not on the tourist trail for visitors to NYC but it ended up being one of our highlights of the week.
